Lots of facts and good ideas here. All we need to do now is to convince Americans that the rich really don't give shit about them. That would be a paradigm shift. And we haven't suffered enough yet to achieve that.
Friends are a wealth and support that mere money can't match.
I was out and about during most of the funeral but heard Steve Ford and Josh Carter's comments; it was impressive. I hadn't heard about Clinton or the ziplock comment, most of the follow-up here has been about Obama and the fact that Melania was holding the program card upside down. The Felon President-elect and his hired wife are proof positive, if we needed more, that money and class have no necessary relationship and, when he finds out that being wealthy, notorious, and President don't make him socially acceptable that might just drive him over the edge.

Good letter Dave. Thank you.
Thanks Bill. A paradigm shift indeed.
Bullseye!
Thanks Lin.
During President Carter's funeral I noticed President Clinton look up in when hearing that Carter washed ziplocks.
It is much more fun to sit around a fireplace with friends than accumulate wealth by diversion. Health suffers, and the soul yells out.

upside down, so funny. Maybe that’s how she sleeps
Dave,
Your analysis of how to resolve
our social security dilemma
is beautiful, brief, and bang on!
Thank you for enlightening me.
Love the way you ended it!
Deborah
Thanks Deborah.
